- Both a music producer and a poet, Robert Bates will be one of the most intelligent musicians to have broken into the music industry within the last decade. New to the game and only 18 years of age, Rob Bates recently started making beats from the luxuries of his home located on the south side of Chicago where he was born and raised. His beats have caught the attention of many throughout the Chicago land area, including several recording labels. He currently attends one of the greatest universities in the nation, the UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS at Urbana-Champaign. Throughout his entire life he has faced many struggles, the most recent being his successful battle against Osteosarcoma (cancer) this past year. With a strong mind and an open heart Rob Bates continues to live his life to the fullest without any regrets. In 2005, Rob Bates started working with several artists from Chicago, artists such as K-Flo (Matt Rivera), Matrix, Peeda Pan of Whitechalk Ent.and D.P. Da Phranchise of the Phli Record Label. To this very day, he still has hopes of a prosperous future career as a major producer.
